Now if you're like the general population, you're probably one of those who say that long distance relationships don't work. You say that fighting will happen often and only worsen with time. You'll say that it's impossible to not ever fight and that it's inevitable. You'll say that no matter how hard we try things will go wrong.
I beg to differ. We survived the two months and always talked out our problems, always were and are 100% honest with each other, and always go out of our way to talk to the other person and put a smile on my face. I would not have survived without her little pictures all the time, and I'd be willing to bet she wouldn't have survived without the letters I wrote her or the little daily notecards.
Long distance is not about how lucky you are or how compatible you are even. It's about the work that you put in. That's the most important part. And as long as you are willing to pour your heart and soul into it, then there is nothing in your way that will stop you. I'm excited for the future -- but for now, I'm very much content with the present :)
