celebrity-ism sells .

We've seen it time and again. The Hollywood persona pays, quite literally! Now before I start out on this commentary, let me preface it with the fact that I think we can all appreciate what the people in the Hollywood spotlight do. Whether it be acting, singing, dancing etc. It's incredible to undergo that sort of pressure and still come out.. dare I say, alive? I think all of us may sometimes want a piece of the spotlight, but only to some degree. I think if we stepped into their shoes for a moment we may realize it's harder than it seems. So to see people perform with such grace and humility in a position such as theirs is inspiring. And now on to more fun stuff...

Celebrity-ism .

There are people that no one knows that soon become national phenomenons. And yet, they are just like everyone else. There are people that open their hearts, because they know of the doors that celebrity endorsement can open. And what's to stop you? Intimidation? Fear? Who knows. I don't mean this to become a complete cliché 'follow your dreams' plug. And this is actually kind of silly.... but man, there are some beautiful female actresses and celebrities out there. People who seem completely genuine, regardless of how much fame they have, or what designer they're wearing, or how much makeup they have on. Now, I obviously can't really say from firsthand experience how these people are... but boy, would I like to!

kanye's revolution .

So maybe a week or so ago, Kanye West went through this 86-tweet novel on twitter about starting something new, something real, a bit of a creative compilation of the efforts of many people. I am lucky enough to follow him on twitter, and was pretty inspired. At one point, he invited those who wanted to get involved to send him an email. Well, by this point, I was sold -- and so I did. I wrote my best most compelling email to get myself involved. I think it would truly be an incredible opportunity.
