One of my favorite parts about winter is seeing the constellation Orion, and in particular Orion's belt. Oddly enough, it's only visible in the winter, and there's something cool about walking in the dark, seeing your breath, then looking up and seeing a warrior in the sky. To be perfectly honest, I don't really know anything about the stars other than that constellation (I can barely find the dippers..) but it is cool to think about astrology and that the stars happened to arrange themselves in a way that was conducive to some sort of drawing in the sky. Shall we call it... sky art? Cool stuff.
What are your thoughts on constellations and the stars?
a walk through of what goes on in my head on a daily basis; what is on my mind that current day, and simply what's going on in my life.

what would you give ?
I've always wanted to take some sort of long nature trip somewhere, sometime. I'm not sure how to do it or when, but I think it would be awesome to just be able to go out and just live. All I'm saying is that it'd be pretty awesome.

i'm back!
Wow, so hello and many apologies for a long-awaited post! (Well, maybe not long awaited, but I am very well aware it has indeed been a few days since I've written!) Before I get started on this particular post, man, let me tell you -- it has been an eventful couple of days (let me just expel the notions of the diary-blogger before I get on to real material... I know; who could possible endure such a travesty?!). I had a law test on Tuesday and a review today, and most of my time has been eaten up studying for the test or working tirelessly on the project. But the test went okay and the review went well and now, halfway through the week it feels like Friday! Though of course I still have plenty of things to occupy my time with. But, I figured I would take tonight off just to enjoy myself. That will probably come back later to slap me in the face... but until then, I'm gonna just milk the opportunity. During these short past few days I must have been mentally inspired, because I have like 10 new ideas for blogs. Maybe I just went through blog withdrawal... either way, keep ya eyes out for some (hopefully) good material comin' your way. Oh and one more thing? Watched Zombieland tonight; it was fucking awesome. The end.

architecture .
I was excited today to see a quote by Gilbert Chesterton, which reads as follows: "All architecture is great architecture after sunset; perhaps architecture is really a nocturnal art, like the art of fireworks." It's an interesting way to think about it, and naturally, given that architecture was the second word, immediately piqued my interested. At first thought, I began to think of the renderings that are done with night views for review boards. Personally, I don't think they're always the most effective...

winter sunsets .
I honestly have no idea what to write about, so the first thing that popped into my head were these sunsets. There are a few things I love about winter. For whatever reason, every day that it's sunny, the sunset is gorgeous. It's perfect, and every time it's a little bit different. Sometimes there is a smooth orange glow, and other times it's a vibrant blood red. But something about the cold crisp winter weather brings that out. The other thing is just how cold and quiet the night is. There is this magic silence about it. Another thing? You can always see Orion, in particular Orion's Belt in the night sky. I've never been able to find it in the summer -- it simply isn't visible, at least where I live.
