several updates .

So, there are a good number of things I'm going to briefly mention in here before I doze off for the night. Let's see if I can remember them all, shall we?

First thing's first, I want to thank and welcome the two new followers I gained over the course of the last day or so. Nice to see some new faces and some new readers. It's seriously the coolest thing that people are willing to take time out of their day to read what I wrote. As my boss always says: Time is the most valuable thing that we have in this world. To know that someone gave up their time to read my words is among the truest of compliments. AMEN. Hope you're enjoying what you're reading, friends. Oddly enough, Spring cleaning also means me going through and deleting blogs I either don't read or are no longer active, and finding some new ones to follow, which I did. Mmmm, the winds of change.

Second. Remember a long time ago when I said that I was going to cover a song and quite possibly get it up here? Well. It's coming. Granted I haven't really practiced it in forever, but as soon as I can sing again (assuming my mouth heals itself up in due time) then I will eventually have something up. I know; it has taken forever and then some. Believe me, I'm aware.

Third. I think I'm going to start a new blog. Some of you followed my picture blog, which eventually turned into an attempted (and now failed) 365 days of my face, and now it is sitting there. I may just delete it entirely. A cool idea, but poorly executed. Upon my last few days before driving home from Clemson, I was walking around the empty studios, relishing in the fact that so much work had taken place there, with finished projects, and everything in a nice jumbled mess, just the way it should be. It made me realize that the world of an architect architectural student is a truly unique one. And as I (hopefully) progress into the work field, there will be more stories and adventures. In some ways I feel like mixing this sort of work with my enjoyed hobby of writing might be a lot like playing with a big stick on fire, but I think it also could be really interesting. I haven't worked out all the deets yet, and I want to try a few posts to see how things come out before I bring it public and really air it out. But. Nonetheless, it's an idea I've had, and really like.

Fourth. Wisdom teeth update; I can sort of kind of eat things. Not really...

Fifth. If any of you live in or are going to be in the NYC area over the next few months, let me know. Meeting other bloggers is always fun, right? I know I've talked to a few of you already about getting together this summer, and I'd love to make that a reality. That way we can all put names to faces to personalities etc. and be like one big happy family. Huzzah.

Sixth. Had to take my truck to the shop today -- rear leaf spring needs to be replaced, not to mention the exhaust system is going too, so I'm going to have to buy some new pipes and a new muffler to get it replaced. Naturally, I'm planning on going with a loud throaty one that will annoy the fuck out of everyone I drive by.

Seventh, and finally, I've got myself a mental list for things I want to accomplish this summer. So now they're turning into a literal list. Sort of. More digital I guess. Does this count?
- Become better at photoshop
- Fix my renderings, touch up my past projects from this year, create a portfolio
- Play guitar / uke -- a lot. Learn some songs and lay 'em down for once
- Write my own songs; together or with my brother
- Ride around 2hrs daily on the bike -- assuming it's not raining. Always nice to get in a good 40 miles.

And that's it for now folks. Here's to hoping you all are having a good week!
