a need to be the best .

I am an extremely competitive person. No matter what it is, I desire to be the absolute best. Some might hear that and say hey, that's a good thing. But it's such a strong desire and my competitiveness runs so deep that often I am even willing to cheat to be the best (more so when I was little, rather than now). I don't know where it comes from, as to my knowledge neither of my parents are this way, and I don't really think that it lives in either of my siblings either. But I know that a fire burns within me.

So for this leadership retreat that happened this past weekend, we took an online survey that determined what our largest strengths were. My top 5 ended up being Deliberative, Achiever, Competition, Intellection, and Strategic. I found it interesting to see these, because I seem to be such an athletically driven person. I really enjoy pushing myself athletically and am extremely competitive as well. Perhaps, in some situations, I end up being too competitive.

Well, I've always liked messing around with programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, and I've designed some things out of pure desire to do it. Whenever I make albums of my own songs and such, I'll make covers for them, or at least do my best to make something that I am eventually satisfied with. Anyways, a lovely talented artist by the name of Orla Gartland hosted a design competition recently to make the album cover of the her very first EP! What an honor to compete in something. Anyways, below I got an example of a couple of album covers I've made... and the last one is the one that I sent into the competition!
