This week marked the first day of class of my senior year of college. I can't believe that I'm already in my senior year! It truly blows my mind. Looking around in some of the classes for my minor, it's always interesting to see the people who are still sophomores, freshmen, juniors... basically anyone who has not yet lived the years that I have. And every year, it blows my mind more to think about all these people that are here, and all the different life stories they have to tell. And yet, here, in this particular class, our paths cross.
As much as I am dreading the upcoming workload of school, grad school research, my job and more, I'm ready for school to sorta begin. I'm ready to get the ball rolling, and I plan to (hopefully) be productive with my time and not waste the minutes that suddenly become so precious to me.
It's the first day, and you know what? I'm excited to learn. Excited to be here. Excited to pick up where I left off with old friends, and to make new ones. Excited to play volleyball, hang out on the lake, excited at the possibilities that the year will bring. 'Tis only day 1. But I'm ready.
