Upcoming Revamp

I've been in a serious mood for blog renovation for quite some time now. For those of you who are regulars, you may have noticed that I changed the background. As far as the visual attributes, that's about as far as I'm going to go in terms of revamp. The standard blogger layout and templates are really easy to work with, and I don't need to dig through endless amounts of  HTML and CSS coding to change things (Interestingly enough I am actually doing that for my architecture blog, found here if you're interested).

That being said, I'm planning on adding a "Blogs I Love" section, a "Photography" section, editing and updating my About Me section and even adding in some specific label tags that will get people to various areas of my blog. It's been a long time since I've played with these things, and the thing about the Internet is that it is constantly evolving and changing, and we need to evolve and change with it.

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions for things you'd like to see!

  1. How did you get your entire background to be a non-blogger image? I can't figure out how to do it.

    1. Go into your blogger dashboard, then click on your blog title. On the sidebar on the left, click Template, and then click customize. If you go into the background tab in the top left corner of the page, you should have an option to upload an image. They have to be less than a certain size, and you can reduce the file / image size in photoshop. I have found that doesn't affect quality at all though.

The only reason I could think of that you wouldn't be able to have your own photo background is that the template you have doesn't allow it; but I don't think that should happen. Hope this helps!

    2. Also, if it doesn't fill the entire background, you just need to upload a bigger picture. You can make the image size larger, but reduce the resolution to keep the file size down. It just so happens the pictures I use are giant from my digital camera. If they're small, obviously you can tile them, but I don't believe there is a "stretch" option. You'll just have to bump up the size. Obviously, though, it's easier to go from a large photo to a smaller one than vice versa.
