in good company .

I've had the pleasure of spending time with this wonderful lady lately, and upon my posing the question, she said it was fine if she was included on the blog.

It's been nice to have some good quality company to just do everything and nothing. We seem to agree on lots of things and enjoy doing a lot of the same things. Tonight she invited me over for dinner (knowing that my parents were out and I would be dining alone) and though it took me awhile to do my workout, shower, wash the dishes and finally get my butt over there, I arrived to hamburgers, fries, salad, and a nice meal outside on the patio out back.

It means a lot that someone is willing to go out of their way to make you happy. It makes you want to do the same, and I have to say I'm always very happy when I'm around her (I know I'm gushing and to some of you people who hate reading about this stuff it may be sickening... but bear with me). She always finds a way to put a smile on my face, especially when I'm at work, which is usually where the shit hits the fan. It's the people like that that you really want to keep around, because they have some sort of special effect on you -- and they can reach you, emotionally, in places that other people can't.

She's currently snuggled up on the couch with her eyes closed, and probably doesn't even know I'm writing this! But that's okay, it'll be a surprise later.

It's a great feeling when you find somebody that really genuinely cares a lot about you. It's an even better feeling when you know that that is mutual and goes both ways. We're not in anything serious or official, but in some ways that's kind of nice not having to worry about a label. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want something more someday, though, and I thinking and hoping that a relationship is in the future for us. I think it would work out quite nicely.

So without further ado, meet Courtney.
