It's been a real treat getting to have my own car on campus with me this year. One of the best things though is being able to just start or end my day by listening to my own music on the way home or to school. While commuting may be a little bit of a pain what with traffic and loads of gas money (especially since now that South Carolina's ppg is on the rise... sad face) it all is made up for by me being able to jam out on the way there.
Lately I've been on a Taking Back Sunday trip, listening to them every second I can get. Old stuff, new stuff, in between stuff, doesn't even matter, it's all good to me. I like knowing a lot of the words too, because then I can sing along with it while I'm driving and I can just absolutely scream it. While I'm more or less okay with people hearing me sing (after all, I mean, it happens in church every week) I'm not usually comfortable with absolutely screaming it out. I've done it occasionally while recording, but often I'm just not in the right mindset for it.
Now, huzzah, I have the opportunity! It's like singing in the shower... sort of. So I just wanted to share that, and revel in the fact that I can it's a nice way to get into the groove of work for the day.
Nothing beats the right song at just the right time....I'm back...
