stress week '11 .

Friday marked the end of a fantastically difficult week. I'm not sure what it was but it was just rough. Between the review Monday, a test in German, and various other things, I felt so behind. But then, Friday felt like a Saturday. Architecture took a field trip to Columbia to visit the site for our next project. And while Columbia is definitely a crappy place (don't hate, you know it's true) it was great to get out of the studio and not really have any class.

It honestly felt like a Saturday. Draggin' myself outta bed to get up and drive there was a bit strenuous, but exciting at the same time. Since I'm kinda stuck on campus all the time, it's nice to be able to get off and away from the Clemson atmosphere at times.

The trip itself was a bit silly, but it was really neat to sort of see something that could emerge into fruition. There is a sort of contest going on within the studios and monetary prizes will be awarded to the winners. It's kinda funny the way that the architecture professors always seem to stress the monetary prize factor. It's like they're trying to trick us into producing really good work (as if we wouldn't already be bustin' our asses to produce something great...).

Either way, this is the final project of the semester, and I intend to make it great. Crazy, huh? Two projects to fill up an entire semester. It seems forever long, and yet in real life projects can take years. Hopefully I'll be more excited then to work on things and they won't drag on. But only time will tell. For now, I get to experiment and have fun in school with the field. So thank you architecture department, the trip was a much needed break to complement an end to a hectic week.

Lyric of the day:
"I woke up late again this morning, it's just another morning lyin' there for me"
